Each year, riders from around Britain do battle in their own region's road race championships and British Cycling have reports and results from many of the events. To help us bring you this round up, we would like to thank all our correspondents and contributors who did an great job of bringing you all the action so soon after the events. South West Regional Road Race Championships
One of the country's top riders, Marcin Bialobocki (Willier/Bigmaggys/Prendas) won the South West Regional Road Race Championship organised by the Penzance Wheelers at Leedstown near Penzance in West Cornwall on Sunday. The Polish rider, who is riding high in the national rankings, won the race solo after his repeated attacks broke up the five man break that had formed halfway through the 84 mile race.... Eastern Region Road Race Championships
With the Orbea –For Goodness Shakes team entering nine of the 60 rider field, it was a brave individual who would bet against them, although defending champion Joe Skipper (Team Zappi’s), Stephen Adams (Sigma Sport Specialized Cycling Team) and Andrew Hastings (Finchley RT) were the riders expected to give them a run for their money. A bright sunny day, but strong, ever changing cross winds greeted the riders at the start of the North East Regional Road Race Championships on Sunday. Neil Gardner Memorial Road Race inc Central Region Road Race Champs
In hot and calm conditions, former CC Luton rider, Simon Gaywood (Team Corley Cycles) won the Central Regional Championship in a bunch sprint.
