Martin Evans is a Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) working as the Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for British Cycling.

Working across the GB team, his role primarily focuses on the development of lower body strength and power and has worked with the sport for the last few years, including the preparation for the successful performances at the London 2012 Olympics & Paralympics.

As well as working as part of a multi-disciplinary sport science and medical team at the EIS, his experience also spans across a range of sports including swimming, triathlon and rugby at international level.

Martin works closely with British Cycling and Team Sky Physiotherapist Phil Burt and has been instrumental in the development of our information on strength and flexibility.
