Commission Chair Pays Tribute to England's Worlds Performance
British Cycling's Cycle Speedway Commission Chairman has paid tribute to the superlative performance of the England team at the recent Cycle Speedway World Cup at Edenton, North Carolina, USA.
The England team scooped four world titles, with wins in the senior and junior team event, a World Vets title for Steve Harris and the Women's title for Laura Watson.
Colin Docker, British Cycling Cycle Speedway Commission Chairman and board member said:
"With the 2011 the World Championships now completed, and very successfully for the riders of Great Britain within their home country teams, the Board and Cycle Speedway Commission of British Cycling congratulates all those who have become champions, those who have competed with such enthusiasm and vigour, and all the support staff who contributed so much of their time, effort, and expertise, to a successful campaign. Well done to everyone."
