The Level 3 Discipline Specific Unit is a three-day course that develops your discipline specific coaching and introduces you to advanced discipline specific techniques and tactics.
There are practical coaching sessions on Days 2 and 3 of the courses, where you will have the opportunity to deliver advanced discipline specific techniques to your peer riders within the coaching environment.
British Cycling deliver Level 3 awards for Road and Time Trial, Track and Mountain Bike.
What will I learn?
The course covers a variety of modules including:
Planning training: Rider profiling, goal setting and annual planning.
Advanced discipline specific techniques and tactics.
Discipline-specific clothing and equipment.
Reflecting on your coaching.
How will I be assessed?
There are a number of assessments including:
Observation of practical coaching.
A written assessment task.
Completion of a practical coaching experience log.
