The ‘Engaging your riders’ course is designed to support coaches to deliver more engaging sessions and activities for their riders.
About the course
The online module is recommended for all coaches (from Level 1 to 3), in order to support delivery of their sessions. Focusing on the quality of delivery, rather than technical content or structure of sessions, this module seeks to influence the interpersonal behaviours of coaches and to educate them to purposefully include engagement strategies in their planning. Ultimately this will improve rider development, experience and retention.
The course covers understanding what we mean by engagement and why it is important, seven great strategies for improving engagement and tips on dealing with disruption.
The course contains in-depth videos to demonstrate good practice and quizzes to check your understanding. It should take around 45-60 minutes to complete, but can be approached either in small chunks or all at once.
