New for 2022, British Cycling are offering qualified coaches a unique opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of cycle racing whilst being supported by a coach developer.
Join us and fellow coaches at major events including the National Track Championships, National Madison Championships, National Omnium Championships and more.
What is included?
- Tickets for the event(s) (including track centre access)
- Coach developer support and guidance throughout the event(s)
- 2 x webinars – one pre-event (to discuss the events and tasks) and one after (post-event reflections)
What is the format?
During the pre-event webinar, the format of racing and racing schedule will be discussed, as well as providing an opportunity to meet fellow coaches to identify and discuss your goals and learning objectives for the event.
At the event, your coach developer will help focus your attention on the races and set tasks to improve observation skills, performance analysis, tactical awareness and preparing riders for performance. Discussion will take place in seated areas, around the concourse and within track centre.
You will be joined by a community of likeminded coaches to discuss your observations and take aways from each race.
After the event, you can share your post-workshop reflections with your cohort of coaches and discuss how you will be applying your learnings into your coaching practice.
Who is this for?
The opportunities at Track events are most relevant for Level 2 Track coaches but will be beneficial for aspiring Track coaches, as well as coaches from other disciplines.
