About our club

We are a small friendly club, based on the Kent / East Sussex border around the towns of Heathfield, Wadhurst, Burwash, Ticehurst and surrounding villages. Our aim is to create a club that simply offers – “enjoy the ride, the company and the coffee stop".

Rides are in the beautiful Sussex/Kent countryside, where we take full advantage of the quiet country lanes (virtually traffic free) that criss-cross this area of outstanding national beauty.

At present; there is a programme of regular Sunday rides, with ad-hoc midweek rides.

Sundays – this is our main club ride of the week; a 30+ miler with some hills (can’t avoid - it’s where we live!), or a dual ride of 30-40 miles, which splits at some point, giving equal opportunities to those who prefer a shorter or longer ride. The pace is 11-13mph.

Midweek – theses are normally Wednesday or Thursday mornings. The rides are 25-30 miles and are usually about 12 mph.

Saturday rides and Summer evening rides can be organised by members, on an ad-hoc basis.

All rides have a non- drop policy and help is always on hand for mechanical problems and punctures.

We live in wonderful cycling country with a variety of beautiful landscapes including the South coast to explore, with quiet lanes and great vistas, so why not take full advantage and come and join us?
