About our club
The Yealm Rouleurs (French for wheelers…) is a social bike group started in 2008 aimed at cyclists living near the Yealm River and surrounding areas. If you are a road cyclist, whatever gender who can cycle about 30 miles to a coffee shop, you are welcome!
We ride evaery Saturday morning for roughly 30 miles at the start of the year up to 60 miles in the summer, with a coffee and cake stop en route. Typical rides are around the South Hams, on Dartmoor or into Cornwall. The average speed is 13-15 mph but don’t let this daunt you - we like to stick together and don’t leave anyone behind. You’ll soon see your fitness and speed increasing. All you need is a functional road bike and a sense of adventure to join our rides which are free, informal, and fun (South Hams weather excepting!).
