About our club

Malvern Cycle Sport was founded in 2009 by a group of enthusiastic cyclists in the region – drawn from road, mountain, track and triathlon backgrounds. The club’s aim is to be an inclusive focal point for members: encouraging a responsible enjoyment of cycling for all ages, providing opportunities for members to continually develop skills and cycling fitness, and promoting participation in a wide range of cycling related events and activities.

Members are active in all forms of bicycle riding and racing; recent activities include XC, trail and enduro mountain biking, gravel biking, track riding, road riding, cyclocross, triathlons and time-trialling. Racing and social members join in training events, club rides and social events. Riders of all ages and experiences should feel welcome at our events and the Club welcomes feedback from members and prospective members.

Malvern Cycle Sport provides a calendar of events throughout the year. Our most popular activities are Sunday road rides, where members meet for rides of varying speeds and distances, and the junior MTB coaching that takes place throughout the summer months. The club is investing in the training of ride leaders for both road and mountain disciplines, with a view to supporting its volunteers and widening participation in the future.

We are privileged to have riders of international pedigree in our club, and this has led to fantastic racing success in recent years across World Championships, the Commonwealth Games, Enduro World Series and the World Ironman Championships to name but a few competitions. Many members race in grassroots events over the full range of disciplines and we organise a summer Time Trial series along with local club VC Sevale.
