About our club
Dursley Road Club is based in the town of Dursley, which was home of the famous Dursley Pedersen Cycle company in the 1900's. Dursley, Gloucestershire is on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment and is halfway between Bristol and Gloucester.
Dursley Road Club caters for racing and leisure cyclists of all disciplines and ages. Formed in 1970 its members have competed locally and nationally ever since. Originally a touring club most members now compete in time trialling and road racing as well as sportive events. We run three weekly club runs each Sunday, as well as a Thursday night time trial during summer months, and turbo training during the winter.
Dursley Road Club are affiliated to British Cycling, the governing body of all cycling in UK. The club actively promotes cycling as a healthy, sociable sport suitable for all age groups. The club caters for cyclists of all abilities, from junior to veteran, from beginners to experienced racers.
