About our club
The Ellan Vannin Cycling Club is an inclusive club with a broad mix of members and we welcome new members, whatever their experience and ability levels.
Formed in 1933, the ensuing 80+ years have seen the Club playing a key role in Manx Cycling across all its facets, from racing to leisure riding and event organisation.
Now in the 2020’s, the Club is still going strong and whilst current members still compete in both on & off-Island racing, the emphasis in recent years has been on leisure Cycling – both here on the Island and further afield.
In 2019, the club signed a new, three-year sponsorship agreement with Vin Et Velo Limited, a Manx-based company which offers Cycle Touring holidays. Vin et Velo Ltd operates under the business names “Isle of Man Cycling Tours” in the Isle of Man and “Burgundy Bikes” in the Department de l’Ain in France. The Isle of Man business is the name associated with sponsorship of the Club for the duration of the sponsorship and club members benefit from subsidised cycling kit and discounted Cycle Touring trips off the Isle of Man. The intention is to run two of these each year – one in the UK and the other in Europe.
