About our club
Daventry Cycling Club was set up in 2002 and caters for road cyclists of all ages, sexes and abilities. New cyclists, male and female, are always welcome. We are a friendly club who aim to be as inclusive as possible.
We currently have more than 160 members whose interests range from Leisure Cycling through Cycle Racing (both Road Racing and Time Trials), Triathlons, Cycle Sportives, and most recently Track Cycling at the Derby Arena.
There are regular “Club Runs” on Sunday mornings and other runs, aimed especially at beginners or less experienced riders, are arranged on Saturdays throughout the year and on Wednesday evenings in Spring and Summer.
In 2015 we organised our first Charity Sportive in aid of local charities and have continued with the event since then raising well over £10,000 in the process. More recently we've been organising trips to the Derby Velodrome and now have a number of fully accredited riders there, including some who race on the track.
If you’re interested in cycling, no matter if you’re just starting or have years of experience (or perhaps would like to get back into cycling after a break) why not join us? If you’d like to try any of our runs please feel free to do so, we offer prospective members up to 3 rides as guests so that they can decide if they want to join.
Whatever your interest and ability in cycling is, you will find someone who is similar to you, from the recent beginner to the seasoned veteran.
