About our club

OUR CLUB
Torbay BMX Club is a friendly BMX club based at the Parkfield site in Paignton. The club is run by a committee of volunteers and offers riders the chance to experience our national standard track and enjoy regular coaching sessions with qualified British Cycling coaches.

The track was built in 2011 and was initially run as an “open” track. Sadly, due to the track being abused and with not enough resources available to keep on top of the ongoing repairs, over time the track became unsafe and un-rideable.

Since forming the club in 2015 we raised the funding required to erect a fence and make it a closed track.

During our gate sessions seating, refreshments & snacks are available for spectators and non-riders.


In the event of adverse weather or poor track conditions we may be forced to cancel sessions at short notice if the track is deemed unsafe to ride.

TRAINING

Training sessions are currently held each Monday 1800-2000

All our training sessions are conducted by fully qualified British Cycling coaches and cater for all abilities of rider.

Prior to attending your first training session, please speak to one of the club commitee at the track or contact us and we will help advise you as to the training that is best for you or your child.
