About our club
Tavistock Wheelers is a road cycling club formed over 25 years ago. It is a friendly club, welcoming cyclists of all ages and abilities. We have a large proportion of female riders. Our club rides take place in some of the most idyllic lanes in the country. Over the last few years the club has seen much growth, with riders attracted from all over North Cornwall and West Devon. We meet in Bedford Square in Tavistock at 8.00 am (9.00 am in November, December, January, February and March) on a Sunday morning for a 3-4 hour ride, usually between 40 and 60 miles depending on terrain and with a cafe stop at around 1030 - 1100. We ride in three groups of different pace and on the first Sunday of each month there is a shorter, slower ride for those who are new to cycling or who are less confident. We also organise rides during the week.
We support members who wish to race and have an active Time Trialling contingent.
