About our club
Gosford Road Club is a friendly cycling club based in the area of Gosforth in Newcastle upon Tyne, though with members travelling from a wide surrounding area. The majority of our club cycling is social road riding on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but we also have an active Tri- section and TT riders who train locally and compete locally, nationally, and internationally. On Saturdays we have a range of rides available to members, from race training fast rides, through leisurely 80km/ 26kph, to “Group 20/22” on 1st and 3rd Saturdays every month which are aimed at potential new club members or returning/recovering riders. In the summer months we have a mid-week introductory ride to a pub in the surrounding area. These rides go at the speed of the slowest rider, and are a great way for beginners to build up the miles and get to know club riders.
