13 December 2012 | British Cycling's Road Safety Campaign

Tonight at 7.30pm on Radio 5 live, former rower and now keen cyclist James Cracknell presents a cycling safety special, featuring Chris Boardman, Sir Chris Hoy and Martin Gibbs - Policy and Legal Affairs Director at British Cycling.

Cracknell himself was badly injured when hit by a vehicle whilst cycling across America and the programme promises to be a thought-provoking and balanced look at an issue which sparked considerable controversy when covered by a recent BBC 1 documentary, "War on our Roads", which British Cycling described as a "missed opportunity".
