adidas has supported the Great Britain Cycling Team since 2005. In that time 26 Olympic and 42 Paralympic medals have been won and riders wearing adidas’s British Cycling jersey have stood on top of the world championship podium over 60 times.
This history of success was born out of a shared desire for innovation and performance. Projects including the recent bolero jersey design, a one piece leading edge fit, that delivers maximum efficiency and speed for the rider and the development of bespoke ‘Hot Pants’, a collaboration to maximise riders ability to maintain muscle temperature between rounds in sprint events, are just two examples of the collaboration undertaken to support medal winning performance.
"adidas is delighted to be a long term partner of British Cycling who continue to deliver a combination of outstanding achievement at elite level and a passion for driving and supporting participation at all levels of the sport.": Ben Dobson, senior sports marketing manager.
It is not only elite performance where adidas’s commitment to British Cycling has a positive effect. adidas supply technical clothing to British Cycling’s Go-Ride coaches and volunteers to ensure that grass roots programmes also benefit from the extensive range of adidas products.
