British Cycling is the national governing body for the sport of cycling in Britain. We govern and develop the sport from grassroots participation through to supporting the riders representing Great Britain on the international stage.
Consistent success on the highest stages has seen the Great Britain Cycling Team establish itself as the nation's most successful Olympic and Paralympic team, turning our country's best riders into household names and peerless ambassadors for their sport.
Our Ride is our first long-term strategy to embed equality, diversity and inclusion at all levels of the sport and activity of cycling, and ensure that riders of all backgrounds and abilities have the opportunity to fulfil their cycling ambitions.
Following the publication of our revised policy position for transgender and non-binary participation in May of this year, we can now share details of our implementation plans. On this page you can find our full policy, FAQs and contact details if you’d like further information.
