DAY 1 WEDNESDAY 4 APRIL
Team Pursuit Gold & Scratch Race Gold for GB: Two gold medals for GB - in the Men's Team Pursuit and Men's Scratch races - meant it was good opening day for the team, though there was also controversy and disappointment as medals were missed in both the Team Sprint competitions. DAY 2 THURSDAY 5 APRIL
Team Pursuit Gold for GB: World records galore on the second day of the Championships, with GB's women Team Pursuit trio setting two new marks on the way to gold. There was also a new record in the 200m TT as the women's Sprint reached the quarter final stage and one of the quickets Kilo competitions of all time. The men's Omnium also got underway. DAY 3 FRIDAY 6 APRIL
Women's Sprint Gold for GB: This will always be remembered as the day Victoria Pendleton picked herself off the track and won back the Sprint title for a six time in the most dramatic manner. The men's Sprint was also full of drama as it progressed to the quarter final stage. And a very tight men's Omnium concluded, whilst the women's Omnium got under way. Report and images
DAY 4 SATURDAY 7 APRIL
Women's Omnium Gold for GB: Laura Trott sealed Great Britain's fifth gold medal of the championships with more consistently brilliant riding in the Omnium; Jason Kenny and Chris Hoy both won medals in the Sprint, but the gold eluded them as Gregory Bauge prevailed; Ben Swift followed up his Scratch Race gold with a hard-earned silver in the Points race. DAY5 SUNDAY 8 APRIL
Keirin Gold for GB: Sir Chris Hoy once again demonstrated why he’s regarded as one of cycling’s all-time great competitors, grapping gold in an incredible Keirin final. There was also saw a p.b. and bronze medal for Jess Varnish in the 500m TT, silver for Wendy Houvenaghel in the individual pursuit and a fine silver medal in the Madison for Ben Swift and Geraint Thomas.
