British Mountain Bike Championships 2010

2010 MTB Race Coverage Home | 2009 British MTB Championships Coverage

It's the biggest weekend of National racing of the season - find out how the National Cross-Country and Downhill Championships panned out in our exclusive reports from Pippingford and Ae Forest

RACE REPORTS

Cross Country Report  All the action from the tough Pippingford course - Liam Killeen and Annie Last are the 2010 Senior National Cross-Country mountain bike champions, following a fine day of racing at Pippingford.

Downhill Report Steve Peat and Jess Stone are the new British Downhill Champions following weekend of racing in the most challenging conditions at Ae Forest. The Scottish Borders were the scene for Peat's incredible ninth British Champions title, though it didn't come easy as he endured a nasty crash in timed seeding and - along with the rest of the field - a day of changeable and always inclement weather on Sunday. For Jess, it was the biggest win of her young career and really puts her on the map as an up and coming rider.

Fourcross Report Will Longden and Katy Curd are the new British Fourcross Champions. Will Longden has continued his domination of the domestic fourcross campaigns, at South West Extreme, but there was controversy as Longden and defending champion Scott Beaumont came together before the first corner.
