The British Cycling talent development programme is made up of five talent coaches, the coaches deliver youth pathway activity across England in five disciplines; MTB, BMX, track endurance, track sprint and circuit.
You will see the talent development coaches out and around across the country at pathway activity, regional and national bike races and some club sessions.
Talent Development Team
Joe Malik – Talent Development Manager /Coach Endurance and Sprint
A former Great Britain Cycling Team coach with a wealth of knowledge around youth development Joe manages the talent development programme for British Cycling. Joe also delivers pathway activity in the North of the country covering, North East, North West and Yorkshire regions.
Rob Sharman – Talent Development Coach, Endurance and Sprint
A former Great Britain Cycling Team coach as well as having competed at several Road World Championships, Rob operates across the centre of England delivering pathway activity in East Midlands, West Midlands and Central regions.
Jason Cattermole – Talent Development Coach, Endurance and Sprint
A former Go-Ride coach with experience of racing track and road as a youth and junior, Jason is the newest member of the talent development coaching team delivering pathway activity in the South of the country across, South West, South East, South and Eastern regions.
Dylan Clayton – Talent Development Coach – BMX
Multiple World and European BMX titles, experience of coaching on the Go-Ride programme and coach educator, Dylan heads up pathway activity across the five British Cycling BMX regions.
Jack Humphreys – Talent Development Coach – MTB
A pathway graduate who has raced off-road nationally and internationally and former Go-Ride coach, Jack heads up pathway activity for MTB across England.
