British Cycling has today confirmed the five Great Britain riders who will travel to Baie-Comeau in Canada for the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships taking place 29 August-1 September 2013.

Lora Turnham has had a great season so far with new pilot Corinne Hall, winning the gold medal in both the road race and time trial at the World Cup in Segovia as well as winning the Tandem Tour of Belgium.

The duo are joined by reigning Paralympic road race champion David Stone and six times Paralympic champion Darren Kenny. Dame Sarah Storey has also made selection, pending a performance test prior to the team being submitted to the UCI.

Speaking of selection, Para-cycling Performance Manager Gareth Sheppard said: “The Para-Cycling Road World Championships are the season target for our road focussed athletes and the first year of the Paralympic cycle provides a benchmark to see how the riders can perform against world-class competition.”
