Women’s Academy - Endurance
Katie Colclough took an impressive win in the Strijpen-Zottegem in Belgium on Tuesday (20 July) after launching a solo attack in the final lap whilst Lucy Martin came second, winning the sprint from the riders in the chasing group. The 1-2 podium finishes for the GB girls is even more commendable given the hilly course combined with the heat meant a lot of the riders struggled with the pace. The girls also finished in the top ten the next day in Maarkedal, with Katie taking sixth and Lucy eighth. Luxembourg’s Nathalie Lamborelle (Team Hitec) was the victor.

Mountain Biking
First year junior, Grant Ferguson, finished fourth in the under-18s category at the World Cup series in Champerey, a minute down on winner Julian Schleb (Germany). Annie Last finished fifth in the Women's Under-23 category and 26th overall, whilst fellow GB Under-23 rider, Lily Matthews, finished further down the field in 62nd place overall. In the Elite Men's category, Liam Killeen didn't start due to injury whilst Under-23 rider David Fletcher came in 86th overall. Read more on this event here.

Men's Podium Endurance
Mark Cavendish added another two Tour de France stage wins to his palmares this week, sprinting to victory in both Stage 18 and Stage 20 - the final stage of the this year's Tour de France. This put his tally for the 2010 Tour de France up to five stage wins, and upped his career total up to fifteen.

Hot on the heels of his recent victory at the European U23 TT Championships, Alex Dowsett won the fifth stage of the Cascade Cycling Classic in USA on Friday, competing for his trade team Trek-Livestrong
