British Cycling can announce the Great Britain Cycling Team to compete at the 2018 Tour L'Avenir.

The competition takes place in France from 17-26 August 2018.

Full results, start lists and more information can be found on the race website and Twitter.

Keith Lambert, Academy Coach spoke ahead of the race saying, “This has really proved to be a breakthrough year for the riders named in the squad, with Steve Williams signing for Bahrain Merida and Mark Donovan joining Team Sky as a stagiaire.

"Jake Stewart got on the podium at the U23 Gent Wevelgem, Matt Gibson won the green jersey at the Tour de Normandie and Adam Hartley rode really strongly in Alsace last week, while Dan Tulett is perhaps the surprise package after recently switching from mountain biking.

“This year’s route is typically challenging with plenty of climbing, and makes their preparation, teamwork and recovery absolutely vital, and we're delighted to be able to take such an in-form group

“Previous winners of the Tour de l’Avenir have gone on to win 12 Tours de France between them, which speaks for itself, and more than anything this will be a fantastic learning experience for our young riders which I’m sure they will benefit from enormously.

"Adam Yates finished second here in 2013 and we'll be hoping to go one better this time.”
