British Cycling’s Olympic gold medallists Phil Hindes and Katie Archibald will compete at the Six Day Berlin 2017, taking place from 19-24 January 2017.

Four of the Senior Academy men’s endurance riders will also contest the event, with Matt Bostock and Joe Holt pairing up along with Ethan Hayter and Matt Walls, along with Junior Academy riders Jake Stewart and Fred Wright.

The Six Day Series has provided invaluable racing experiences to the Great Britain Cycling Team academy squad, with Senior Academy rider Bostock commenting: “Six Day Berlin will be my third Six Day event of the season and they have all been part of a massive learning curve for me.

"I think it’s helped me think out my race tactics a bit more, and it’s helped me to be more independent in a race environment. Being able to watch the elite racing and being around the elite riders has been really valuable and competing in the Six Day atmosphere has been a great experience too.”
