British Cycling has today confirmed the five riders selected to represent Great Britain at the forthcoming UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Greenville, South Carolina from 28 August - 1 September 2014.
Current B/VI time trial world champions Lora Turnham and Corrine Hall have made selection, as has David Stone who will start the T2 road race as the defending champion.
Dame Sarah Storey marks her return to road racing at world-level having taken a break following the birth of her daughter last year, and Karen Darke completes the line-up having had successful results at this season’s world cup series.
Technical Director Shane Sutton said: “We’re sending a small but strong team out to South Carolina with David, Karen, Corrine and Lora all consistently finishing on the podium at the world cups.
"Dame Sarah has returned to form and we’ve seen she’s back to her winning ways on the track so I’m looking forward to seeing this form transition onto the road.
"I’m confident the team we’ve selected will continue the momentum from the world cups and will be able to end their road season on a high.”
