Leicester bounced back from a recent run of poor form with a good win over West Midlands rivals the Wednesfield Aces.
The Monarchs opened up with maximum points from father and son combination Steph and Mark Whitehead after Jewkes was excluded for use of the leg, and never really looked in any danger from that point.
Whilst the visitors had Mike Morgans in superb form and Chris Jewkes providing good back up their team mates looked down on power. The home side looked the more composed outfit with solid scores from their heat leader trio of Whaitehead, Jarvis and Marchant, however the back up provided by their team mates was undoubatably the major factor, a Leicester rider finishing last on only six occasions.
