The official hotel is the Village Hotel, Tempus Drive, Walsall, West Midlands, WS2 8TJ (tel 01922 633661), which has rates of £50 single, inclusive of full English breakfast, or £60 for Twin/Double again inclusive of breakfast. The hotel boasts some excellent facilities including swimming pool, gym and bar. Contact (If needed) Wendy Salisbury. Alternatively, you may prefer to stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Tempus Drive, Walsall, WS2 8TJ (tel 01922 705250), which has rates of £40 per single or double with a continental breakfast. There is no gym or pool facility but the Holiday Inn does have a bar. Contact (If needed) Lisa Shepherd. In either case quote "cycle speedway" when booking, but please do so quickly as rooms are only held for a limited period.
The two hotels are next door to each other, allowing everyone to have choice to suit their requirement and budget. Both are located on junction 10 of the M6. The Organising Committee is in discussion with local taxi firms to negotiate attractive rates to transport cycle speedway personnel from either hotel to Gilberts Bar which is only three miles away.
For those wishing to stay at a hotel in Leicester, the Leicester club suggests the Premier Inn at Heathley Park which is on the main A50 just a mile from the track and is the same hotel used for the European Club Championship last year.
