About our club
Newbury Velo is the cycling club for everyone, and now the home of triathlon in West Berkshire, proudly serving the local community with nearly 300 members from all walks of life and cycling backgrounds. Whether you're taking your first pedal strokes or you're an experienced cyclist looking for like-minded enthusiasts, our inclusive atmosphere welcomes all.
Founded on the principle that cycling should be accessible to everyone, Newbury Velo has grown into one of the region's most respected cycling clubs. Our commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and cycling excellence has been recognised with multiple awards, including the prestigious "Sports Club of the Year 2025" from the Newbury Weekly News, a Berkshire High Sheriff Award in 2021, and a Highly Commended award from West Berkshire Council in 2024.
