About our club
Coventry Olympic Group Sportive cycling section is the non-racing section of Coventry’s leading cycling team M.I.Racing.
It's aim is to encourage riders who wish to participate in Sportive events, charity rides & Audax events in their area and further afield. Members will be given information at regular intervals on suggested events and hopefully members can share their experiences of the good ones.
Members will also be kept informed of events involving M.I. Racing and will be welcome to come along to the team’s regular Saturday morning ride to a local café.
We also organise our own club ride every Sunday from The Oak at Baginton at 8.30am for C.O.G.S. members. The rides will usually show suggested café stops.
C.O.G.S. official clothing will be available and members will also be able to take advantage of a number of discount schemes we have in place, such as , Vittoria Tyres, Bikewrench etc.
C.O.G.S. will be affiliated to British Cycling, the premier body for cycling in the UK.
Members can join in a number of ways:
1. By requesting a membership form and sending with cheque to Club Secretary (address on form)
2. By coming along to a club Sunday morning ride with a completed membership form and cash or cheque
3. By completing a membership form and emailing to Club Secretary and making an electronic payment by BACS into club account (details on form)
Individual membership fee for 2025 is a very reasonable £15.
