About our club
Note: if you would like to join or renew your YOGi Cycling membership please follow the join / renew tab from our website http://yogicycling.com
Also, note that the statistics shown above are from out of date British Cycling Information. during the last few years we have had a membership of around 300-400 members, of which around 80-100 are Mountain Bikers, the remainder being Road Cyclists and with quite a few that ride both disciplines.
YOGI was originally formed in recognition that there are a vast number of cyclists who prefer the non-competitive side of the sport whilst still accommodating those who do want to take part in some competition.
Our moniker is 'The Friendly Club' and on the Road side of the club we welcome anyone who is capable of riding 30 miles at an approx. average speed of 10 mph, right up to those who want to 65 - 100 mile rides at an average around the 16 - 18 mph range.
We have a whole series of different paced rides in between those so basically what you want we can likely provide.
We also have a thriving MTB section, with our very popular Fun/Social club rides on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, plus Tuesday and Thursdays evenings every week and additional rides and events most weekends there is always someone to ride with. MTB rides are reasonably technical, and you can expect a bit of an adventure, plus it's a great way to ride the lesser known paths, sheeptracks and bridleways of Dartmoor.
Whether Road or MTB /Cross Country/Trail riding, we have it covered. Please see our official website for our current rides schedule.
Our website is always updated within a 7 day period and we believe has everything anyone needs to know before trying our rides. Our criteria is 2 rides and then join if you like what we offer.
We look forward to welcoming you!
