About our club
We have over one hundred members of all ages and abilities and cater for most forms of cycling. Founded in 1881, we are a very friendly club that welcomes experienced cyclists and those new to the sport.
Our main club rides take place on Sunday mornings, with up to six group rides. This means you can nearly always find a group with which you feel comfortable riding. We have a come-and-try policy where people can ride with us for up to three rides before we ask them to join. Every new rider is warmly welcomed.
Our members organise and participate in most forms of cycling, including group social rides and competition events. The club's history is rooted in time trials and we still organise many time-trial events throughout the year.
During the summer months, we organise social gravel rides that take our riders into the wilderness of the Chilterns. These events cater to all levels of ability, and off-road coaching is offered.
We organise evening pub rides, coffee and cake events, and social gatherings throughout the year. Our members love the social aspect of the club.
