About our club
VC Venta is a Cycling Club based in Winchester for cyclists seeking an active Club-riding and racing scene. Our members come from Winchester and the surrounding area. We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and all-inclusive policy. The Club has many experienced cyclists who can offer advice and guidance on every aspect of the sport. We run regular club/training rides on a Tuesday night and Sunday morning as well as off-road training on a Wednesday evening.
We take part and organise events across many aspects of cycling including time-trials, circuit and road racing and cyclo-cross throughout the year. The Club is affiliated with all the major racing organisations to cater for those wanting to race, time trials, road, track, cyclo-cross and MTB. We are also actively engaged in supporting many other local cycling events.
The Club welcomes youth riders participating on our Club and training rides as long as membership and parental consent is in place beforehand. U16s will need to be in the company of a parent or guardian unless specific permission has been sought ahead of riding from the Club Secretary. Youth riders should bear in mind the required average pace and duration of the ride and be comfortable in achieving these before participating.
