About our club
Based in St Albans, Verulam CC (VCC) is one of the oldest and most active cycling sport clubs in Hertfordshire, with over 500 members. We have riders participating in cycling across a wide range of disciplines, ability levels and ages - from 6 to as young as you feel!
Among our activities are club rides, a youth development programme, rider development programme, road racing, track racing, time-trials, cyclocross, sportives, audax, mountain biking, plus training sessions e.g. turbo, chain-gang and social events. There is also an annual week long trip to Mallorca in April where we regularly have over 70 club members enjoying the sun and cycling.
However, our main activity is the Sunday Club run where we generally have 10 speed groups ranging from 13mph/50 miles to 20mph/65miles
We also sponsor the very successful Verulam Reallymoving.com Racing Team.
