WORLD CUP REPORTS

Friday 18 February Report There were four medals for GB on the opening day of the World Cup, with the Women's Team Pursuit trio of Rowsell, Houvenaghel and Storey breaking the national record twice on the way to gold. Also, one of the best Men's sprint finals in years as Jason Kenny took on world number one, Kevin Sireau of France.

Saturday 19 February Report - Day two of the World Cup saw medals decided in the Men's Keirin, Men's Omnium, Women's Scratch and Women's Sprint. The undoubted highlight was an incredible Men's Keirin final, which saw Hoy cross the line to take gold, ahead of a monumental pileup involving the rest of the field.We have a video which shows the full incident.

Sunday 20 February Report - A memorable final day saw  two outstanding rides by the GB Team Pursuit quartet, victory for the classy French trio in the Team Sprint and a memorable tour de force by Sarah Hammer in the Women's Omnium. Add to that a feast of Keirin racing and a packed crowd went home very happy!
