UCI Track Cycling World Cup - Manchester

The first round of the UCI's 2009-2010 Track Cycling World Cup Classics came to Manchester Velodrome on 30 October - 1 November 2009. Britishcycling.org.uk was there throughout the three days covering the racing as it happens with reports and photos.

Day 3: Evening Session: More Gold for Great Britain. Record breaking rides and roof raising performances from the British men and women. Day 3: Morning Session: An early start with Team Pursuit qualifying starting at 8.30 in the morning followed by Women's Keirin, Women's Team Pursuit, first round of the JKA Men's Keirin and then the Men's Scratch race qualifying rounding out a long morning session of racing: Report & Photos 

Day 2 Evening: The evening session saw the finals of the Men's Sprint, Men's Madison, Women's Pursuit, Team Sprint, Points and 500TT. Cue another superb performance from the Great Britain team, with 3 golds, 2 silvers and a bronze to add to their tally from Day One: Report & Photos

Day 2 Afternoon: Day 2 and another great day for GB with Hoy, Crampton and Kenny all progressing to the Semi Finals of the Men's Sprint. Meanwhile, Wendy Houvenaghel put in a stunning performance in qualifying for the Individual Pursuit, while Lizzie Armitstead put in a clinical qualifying ride in the Women's Points: Report and Photos

Day 1: Evening Session -- After an action packed afternoon session where we saw Geraint Thomas ride to a stunning 4.15 in the Pursuit, Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton stamping their mark on the sprint races and Chris Newton and Lizzy Armitstead cruise into the finals of there events, the evening session promised to be a cracking evening of racing and so it proved: Report Photos and Results
