Location: Llanwrtyd Wells
Preview: Red Kite Events

Set in the heart of Wales in the Cambrian Mountains, Llanwrtyd Wells provides access to one of the few remaining wilderness areas in Britain and in the spring of 2013 will host The Devil's Challenge, a challenging road sportive. The event is now in its third year and is growing in popularity year-on-year.

Llanwrtyd Wells has hosted many cycling events including the 2009 Merida, the 2011 Trans Wales and the 2010 Tour of Britain.

The event makes a welcome return to Llanwrtyd Wells and is organised by local cyclists who have excellent knowledge of the local roads and will therefore be taking in the highlights of the area. The routes will take the cyclist through some of the most beautiful scenery in Mid Wales with challenging climbs and exhilarating descents. Profiles, maps and online entry are available on the website.

The organisers are working closely with the community to make this event into a festival, with good riding during the day and the local restaurants and pubs offering good valuemenus for cyclists and non cyclists alike.

On the same day the Red Kite Events team are also running the Devils Challenge MTB challenge. Both events are sharing start/finish areas and at least one food station.
