British Cycling is delighted to today announce an extension to its partnership with training software supplier, TrainingPeaks.

The new contract, which will run until 2022, will take the relationship between the two organisations to a decade, during which time they have provided the Great Britain Cycling Team and British Cycling members with unrivalled analysis and support.

As one of British Cycling’s longest-standing partners, TrainingPeaks continue to provide the Great Britain Cycling Team with a cutting-edge data management system, offering detailed analysis reports and a simple online and mobile logging system.

In August last year British Cycling released a new library of 13 digital training plans on TrainingPeaks, designed by professional coaches to guide users to reach specific cycling goals. Two of the plans – including the Covid-19 four-week indoor training plan – are available free of charge for British Cycling members, with more comprehensive access to the platform also available at a discounted rate.

British Cycling Head of Commercial Partnerships, Nick Hayes, said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be continuing our relationship with TrainingPeaks until 2022.The longevity of the partnership is testament to the value which it delivers, both for our medal prospects and our members, and the innovative ideas which are brought to each. Our Covid-19 indoor training plan has benefitted almost 1,500 of our members in recent months and we’re looking forward to working with the team on a number of new and exciting projects in the months ahead.”

Dirk Friel, TrainingPeaks co-founder and Chief Evangelist, said:

“We’re excited to extend our partnership with British Cycling through 2022. We’ve been their official training software supplier since 2015, giving athletes the confidence to reach their goals on race day and helping coaches successfully grow the business.”

British Cycling has also teamed up with TrainingPeaks to be a presenting sponsor for the 2020 Endurance Coaching Summit, to be hosted free online from 17 – 19 November 2020. This year’s summit includes a digital partner expo, bringing together the world’s top brands and national governing bodies. Attendees will have the chance to see the latest training tech, follow emerging fitness trends and hear from international endurance coaches.
