Welsh Cycling are extremely pleased to welcome Frog Bikes back as a technical partner and a supporter of our annual awards dinner.

Welsh Version here.

We have enjoyed a successful relationship with Frog Bikes who have supported us in various sponsorships over the past couple of years, so we are thrilled that they are joining us for the next few years as we embark on some exciting projects together.

Both organisations are passionate about inspiring the younger generation to cycle, and despite the difficulties 2020 has posed for everyone, cycling has seen a huge growth across Wales and the UK. Many families and young people either continuing to choose cycling or rediscovering their love for riding.

Looking ahead to 2021, Welsh Cycling are excited to share that in partnership with Frog we have been developing a skills award for young people which will help them develop key bike skills. This will be launching in 2021 and over the next couple of months, we will be sharing further news.

Ian Jenkins, Welsh Cycling Go-Ride and Pathway Manager said: “We look forward to launching our skills award which will attract a wider audience to our sports activities.

“With the support of Frog Bikes we hope to encourage all children, parents and groups within cycling to develop their skills and get involved with local cycling clubs,” continued Ian.

Frog have established themselves as the go to manufacturer of high quality, lightweight bikes designed specifically for children. Frog Bikes’ in-house R & D team works with leading research institutes and innovation organisations to ensure they lead the market in terms of product development and sustainability. They are also a keen supporter of initiatives to help make cycling more accessible to all children and we are thrilled that they are partnering with Welsh Cycling to develop the Skills Award Series.

“We have enjoyed working with Welsh Cycling over the past couple of years and are really pleased to extend this Partnership in supporting the Skills Award, where children will develop lifelong skills. We believe this will inspire more children to give cycling a go. Whether this is being able to cycle to school safely, cycling as a family or pursuing professional cycling career”.
