Limar Helmets CEO, Giovanni Caporali said: “Limar are delighted to announce becoming the Official Helmet Partner of Welsh Cycling along with the launch of the Limar Air Speed Welsh Special Edition Helmet. We know the aerodynamic performance of our Air Speed Aero Road & Air King TT Helmets will further contribute to the Welsh Cycling Academy’s success on the road & track in the future.“

The design of the helmet is Welsh through and through. The three feathers sit on the top of the helmet, with the iconic Welsh dragon embossed on the side of the helmet.

The Air Speed helmet is the helmet designed around pure aerodynamics, it’s been independently tested at the F1 Wind Tunnel Facility at Magny Cours in France and is the fastest helmet in the range.

The Wales Racing Academy have already worn the Limar Air King TT helmets at the HSBC UK | British Track Championships in January. Head Cycling Coach, Darren Tudor said: “It’s great to have such a great brand like Limar partnering with Welsh Cycling and supplying the academy with these helmets.

“We really value all the support and help from all our sponsors and having Limar come on-board and supplying the helmets it will help us as we continue to focus on the riders and their development,” continued Darren.

Academy coach, Rob Partridge said: “Developing the riders and making sure they achieve their goals is what the academy is all about. But having partners like Limar supplying equipment just allows us and the riders to concentrate on becoming better bike riders.”
