Team USN hope to build on success in Apeldoorn this weekend

Welsh Cycling confirms Lewis Oliva and Sam Harrison will compete for Team USN at the Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands 11 - 13 November 2016.

Team USN will continue their Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup campiagn with round two in Apeldoorn this weekend. The series began in Glasgow, where Oliva and Harrison both won bronze medals, in the Keirin and Points races.

They will now look to progress in Apeldoorn. Lewis will be contesting the Sprint and Keirin events, whilst Sam will be looking to build on his performances in the Scratch and Points races.

Wales' Emily Nelson, Rachel James, Joe Holt and Elinor Barker will also be competing at the Dutch round of the series. Elinor Barker will focus on the individual events for the Great Britain Cycling Team. Emily Nelson will ride for Team Breeze, also looking for success in the individual events as there is no team pursuit in the race programme. Rachel James will join Katy Marchant in the women's sprint events, whilst Joe Holt will be part of the men's endurance squad.

Saturday 12 November

Medals decided: Men’s team pursuit, women’s keirin, women’s 500m time trial, men’s sprint, men’s points race

Sunday 13 November

Medals decided: Women’s points race, men’s omnium, men’s keirin, women’s sprint, men’s Madison
