About the Event

Info for Riders

Amber is 5yrs old and currently battling against a brain tumour,  although the tumour itself has been removed, she is now undergoing extensive radiotherapy and chemotherapy in Germany in a bid to rid her entirely of cancer so she can return to the childhood she so rightfully deserves. Its every parents nightmare and it’s happening to an amazing family. Please give whole heartedly and generously just to give this family a well deserved break, so they can enjoy some precious family time all together.

Any funds raised will enable the family to move between Germany and the UK and make life a little more comfortable. There still remains the usual financial commitments so every little helps.

The club has planned four routes over 70, 50, 30 and 10 miles all starting and finishing at the Lighthouse Inn. After the ride there will be a hot meal (included in the £10 entrance fee) served inside the marquee. Riders and attendees will have the option of dining inside the Lighthouse Inn and drinks from the bar.

The rest of the afternoon will consist of a Tombola and Buy/Swap/Sell stalls inside the marquee where riders can bring cycling accessories and paraphernalia with the overall aim of raising funds to donate to Amber's family. So please get in those boxes of cycling bits and bring along anything that would be desirable that you wouldn't mind selling to raise funds for such a special little girl.

This event is similar to any other Sunday Club Ride. Please ensure that you bring your bike helmet and spares for while out on the road.  There will be limited recovery so you will need to be able to self-help.

In the event of a medical emergency then the first instance should always be a 999 call.

Whether it be medical or mechanical, please use the event organiser number to update on any situation.
