A British Cycling mountain bike leader is an experienced rider with great local knowledge who is qualified to guide off-road cyclists through a wide range of terrain and provide a fantastic day out.

All of the leaders listed hold a British Cycling recognised qualification, across the following awards:

  • Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Ledaership: Qualified to lead on terrain that ranges from gravel tracks through to open countryside, woodland and most trail centre blue routes.
  • Level 2 MTB Leaders and Trail Cycle Leaders: Qualified to lead a wide variety of off-road rides and can tailor trips to your group’s needs.
  • Level 3 MTB Leaders and Mountain Bike Leaders: Qualified to lead in the same environment at a Level 2 Leader, plus in remote terrain and on trails of severe technical difficulty.
