Rounds 9 and 10 of the UEC BMX European Championships come to Birmingham on June 18 and 19, with British Olympian and World Champion Shanaze Reade taking to the line against some of the sports biggest names.

The European Championships serve as a grand opening, Perry Park's first BMX event and a prelude to Birmingham hosting the UCI BMX World Championships in the Olympic year of 2012.

Bought back to its former glory, Perry Park is another world class sporting facility that makes up the sporting hub in north Birmingham, which includes Birmingham Alexander Stadium, Birmingham High Performance Centre and the Gymnastics and Martial Arts Centre to form a group of facilities that are used by elite athletes and the local community alike.

Every attention to detail has been looked at to provide the highest quality facility for BMX athletes to train at and race.
