Following last week’s UCI BMX World Championships in Zolder, British Cycling is pleased to confirm the qualification criteria for British riders for the 2020 championships.

Next year’s event will take place in Houston, Texas, between May 26 and 31, and riders across the age categories will be able to qualify via performances at the 2019 HSBC UK | National BMX Series.

There is a total of 16 positions available, as designated by the UCI (14 automatic plus two discretionary), in each of the following classes:

20”

Boys – ages; 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 

Girls – ages; 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16

Men – ages; 17-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35 and over

Women – ages; 17-24, 25 and over

CRUISER

Boys – ages; 12 and under, 13-14, 15-16

Girls – ages; 12 and under, 13-16

Men – ages; 17-24, 25-25, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50 and over

Women – ages; 17-29, 30-39, 40 and over
