BADBMX is Reborn

Great news from Barking and Dagenham BMX Club (AKA BADBMX).

Numbers were dwindling fast at BADBMX and when the club had a shake up and new committee elected in March 2009 there were only 37 members. Since that time the club has gone from strength to strength, working with their local Go-ride coach Alastair Findlay, the club has achieved Go-Ride status and is currently working towards Sport England's Clubmark accreditation.

And the improvements don't stop there: BADBMX's track is currently undergoing £51,000 worth of regeneration work to bring it up to national standard, including having the safety barrel gate installed shortly. The club will be hosting the South/East Anglia inter-regional on 23rd May and also the Southern Champs on 3rd October.

Mark Seaman has taken over the role of the club coach and his regular Saturday training sessions are a big hit. Currently the club has 104 members and lies second in the South Series Club ranking. Furthermore, the club isn't going to let a recent break-in affect its momentum - BADBMX has only one way to go and that is UP!!!!
