British Cycling are pleased to confirm that for the 2020 season, the BMX event management system Sqorz, combined with transponders, will be used in the BMX National Series.
This is an exciting introduction for the series and will provide a great platform to improve rider experience with instant results, live times and series standings all readily available on the spot. It also provides huge benefits to the race administration, with a faster and smoother event delivery, which will help continue the development of the sport and quality of events.
Martin Ward, Co-founder of Event Soft Pty.Ltd said:
“Sqorz is elegant and extremely functional BMX Event Management software developed by Eventsoft Pty. Ltd. specifically for BMX events. We are very excited to partner with British Cycling to run the BMX National Series on Sqorz. The BMX National Series and British Championships are highly successful race events and the addition of Sqorz software will greatly enhance the overall event experience for riders, spectators and volunteers"
All riders will be required to have a MyLaps Pro Chip Flex transponder to race national series events and guidance on what you will need to do before the series will be available in the event technical guide.
There will be a small increase to the entry fee for 2020 to compensate for the rising costs of delivering the national series. Entry fees have remained static for many years, while all associated costs to deliver nationals have increased considerably year-on-year.
