Following the success of the sessions in 2011, the women’s road race training will return to Tameside for five weeks during February and March 2012.

Starting on Monday 20 February, coach Matt Winston’s session will include group riding skills, advice on cornering, starts, sprinting, race scenarios and feedback on bike positions.  The aim is to complement the three women’s Tameside Season Starter races that are taking place on Sunday mornings in March and the Tameside Cycling Development Group League events that begin on Tuesday 17 April.

North West Regional Event Officer Jenny Gretton, who is organising the sessions said: "If you know of any women (16 years and over) in your club or local area who may be interested in attending, please forward the information below to them. Riders are welcome to drop in to any of the sessions to develop their road racing skills, attendance every week is not compulsory”.
