British Cycling can today announce world-renowned English sparkling wine producer, Nyetimber, as its official sparkling wine partner.

The pioneer of English sparkling wine, Nyetimber, will have presence across British Cycling’s prestigious portfolio of events; from presenting magnums to podium riders at the Lloyds Tour of Britain women [5-8 June] and men [2-7 September], to being a staple in its hospitality offering and supporting other renowned moments of celebration, including British Cycling's star-studded Awards evening.

The partnership is built on clear synergies between the two brands. British Cycling’s purpose is to bring the joy of cycling to everyone and prides itself on delivering world class events, whilst Nyetimber pursues excellence and quality across every touchpoint, and is passionate about celebrating life’s special moments.

Darren Henry, Chief Commercial Officer at British Cycling, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nyetimber on board to join our growing family of valued partners and help to elevate the multitude of joyous moments we must celebrate in our sport. This leading British brand aligns with our values and the excellence we endeavour to bring to everything that we do.

“We are thrilled Nyetimber will be celebrating riders' accomplishments and supporting our world-class events including the biggest free to attend sporting event in the UK; the Lloyds Tour of Britain, and the National Road and Track Championships.”

Nyetimber CEO and Owner, Eric Heerema commented: “We are really excited to become the Official Sparkling Wine to British Cycling. Nyetimber has a long history of partnering with iconic British sporting institutions, and it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to engage further with cyclists of all abilities across the country.

“There are a lot of synergies between us as partners, and our DNA shares the same passion, dedication and vibrancy. Nyetimber is all about celebrations, whether big or small – an ethos that is echoed by British Cycling in its encouragement to help everyone achieve and celebrate their goals in the sport.”

The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women hosts and routes were announced recently, with details on the men’s race due in the coming weeks. The Lloyds National Road Championships head to Wales this summer [26-29 June] and the routes around picturesque Ceredigion were released last month.
