Despite the variable June weather luck was on hand for a great evening of racing at the Fred Williams Wolverhampton Track League 2012.

In the Freewheelers A, Wheelers Joe Bolton and Adam Phillips continued to do battle but Bolton always seemed to have the edge, except for one win from Ed Adams of Newport Shropshire CC.  Meanwhile in Freewheelers B Wheelers Will Perry and Alex Thomson traded first and second places throughout their racing.

In the youth races, Ben Hardwick (Wolverhampton Wheelers) is beginning to make his mark on the overall rankings with several wins this evening but it is by no means any easy achievement with Ewan Grivell-Mellor (Mid Shropshire Wheelers) hard on his heels. Wheeler Georgia Hilleard is now finding her form (after moving from Freewheelers last year) and is currently making her play for the leading female youth rider with two third places in scratch and points, putting many of the male youth riders to shame in the process.

In senior B, Darren Shaw (Stourbridge Velo) took first place in the Points with Andy Jones (Wolverhampton Wheelers) second, Kevin Payton (Stourbridge CC) third and Paige Milward (Lyme RC) fourth. Then in the Devil Andy Jones took the honours with Kevin second, Mark Shaw (Walsall RCC) third and Paige fourth once more.

In senior A Wheeler Adam Lewis continues his domination taking every race except for the points which was won by Will Hyde (Lichfield City CC).  Finally, Callum Warrilow deserves a special mention this was his first racing in senior A since crashing badly at the recent youth omnium, putting in some great efforts and all concerned were very pleased to see him back in the saddle.
